To Arms. Arthas Vs. Sephiroth

I have to say I'm unbelievably disappointed in the final product of this. The lineart was solid, and it flowed quite well, but I ran into some serious problems with a lack of ability in the CGing side of things. This was done entirely with a mouse (I've already ordered my tablet, I intend to redo the CG after it comes in), and I finally got sick of all the little problems with it, and figured 'its done'. I didn't want to submit this to scraps because, well, I put a heck of a lot of time in on it, and I do like the result, even if its not exactly what I was hoping for. I think I used a couple of colors that would be less than pristine in print, I'd like input from anyone who has had lots of contact with a printer to agree/disagree on that. and some of my contrasts were a bit extreme.

Most importantly, I guess, I learned a heck of a lot working on this project, that hopefully I could put in on the next one.

The subjects are Arthas (WarCraft 3), and Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7). I also regret not being able to figure out how to 'spark' the contact between their swords, I think that would have added an extra flair that this work seems to be lacking. Then again, with the blizzard on Arthas' side, it might not have had enough contrast to really bring the change and emphasis that this work needs. blarg.
